OCD AUTOMATIC AND DIPLO CREATE SATURDAY NIGHT MAYHEM AT THE RATHSKELLER! could have been the headlines for the Sunday papers. For the second night in a row, party people had a chance to wear their boogie shoes and bring on the funk and sweat to the beats. OCD Automatic set the stage with his fierce techno mixes and had the young university crowd mobbing the stage in no time. With Diplo sliding into the mix and inviting fans even closer, the barely-in-control crowd was body-slamming-and-surfing hard inches from the decks. With a mix spanning Detroit techno, hard house, hip-hop and MIA-styled world beat, the two artists literally had the walls and windows at the Rathskeller sweating (trust me, you shall see). And the party was not done after the last call at the Union. With a host of afterparties to choose from, a couple of hundred people show up at a house party near the Rathskeller on campus to see none other than Diplo for a basement set! You might have to wait a while to see Diplo again in Madtown. But, OCD Automatic is Madison's own and can be seen spinning frequently at the IQ Discotech events at The Majestic and other venues around town.
